The County of Franklin Solid Waste Management Authority is proposing to expand its existing landfill on County Route 20 in the Towns of Constable and Westville. The Authority is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed landfill expansion, and is requesting public comments on specific environmental issues or areas of concern relative to the proposed landfill expansion. Comments may be submitted at a public scoping meeting to be held on May 22, 2008 at 7:00PM at the Franklin County Courthouse in Malone.
