Do you know someone that is age 60 or over and is a resident of Franklin County that is currently attending or interested in attending the Third Age Adult Day Center located at 24 Fourth Street, Malone?
The Franklin County Office for the Aging may have funding available through on of our programs that can assist with payment for attendance to the Day Center.
The Third Age Adult Day Center is a social adult day program run by the Northeastern New York Alzheimer's Disease Assistance Center. The Day Center is designed for adults who experience a decrease in physical, mental or social functioning. They may be frail or have Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia that could include behavioral problems such as wandering, difficulty communicating, or emotional problems.
The Day Center providers participants with a variety of therapeutic and social activities, a safe environment, support, encouragement, and a warm atmosphere. It allows caregivers times to spend doing things for themselves, whether it is to go to work, a doctors appointment, or just time to rest.
